Nick Lawrence
Nick Lawrence
Nick Lawrence has been a crowd pleaser for the last ten years now touring the southwest part of the United States. This seasoned, vibrant artist has opened shows for such artists as, George Strait, Gary Allan, Tracy Lawrence, Gretchen Wilson, and Cross Canadian Ragweed just to name a few. He has performed The AT&T Center numerous occasions for the San Antonio Spurs halftime concerts, Tim McGraw Faith Hill Concert pre party and The Houston and San Antonio Rodeo Kick-Off celebrations. In 2008-2009, Nick Lawrence had regional radio success in Texas and is currently working on another album due to be released in 2012. Nick Lawrence music can be best described as Texas country music with a twist of southern rock, authentic heartfelt lyrics and rich vocals. Straight out of Helotes, TX, Nick Lawrence began his career at 12 years old playing drums and singing in the sixth grade. He later went on to play in his father's band professionally at fourteen where he crafted his own distinctive style and sound.

Lawrence released his first CD in 2000 entitled, Heartbroke Rodeo, selling over 1,500 units in its first month and receiving local airplay on KBUC, KKYX in San Antonio, TX and The Ranch Radio in Kerrville, TX. He then released an acoustic CD in 2002 that he produced, played all instruments and recorded himself called Acoustic Storyteller. It was after this humble beginning when Lawrence made a heavier move into the Texas music scene with his self-titled release, "Nick Lawrence" (2005). This was the first time his hits such as "Bluebonnet Highway" and "Detour Left", featuring the legendary Flaco Jimenez, received airplay on 92.5 The Outlaw & 97.3 KJ97 (San Antonio, TX radio stations) along with surrounding Texas country stations 94.7 KBSO Corpus Christi, and 98.1 Big Buck Country in Laredo. Nick's fourth release, The (2008) Nick Lawrence Band, "Livin It Up, Drinkin' 'Em Down" album, awarded Nick a distribution deal and has by far surpassed 20,000 downloads on the worldwide internet. Blending traditional and contemporary country along with a touch of swing rockabilly and soft alternative this CD is a party pleaser and rocks Nick's audience night after night. Singing about real life experiences that fans can relate to, Nick Lawrence original music reveals everything from heartache, driving down to Mexico with the boy's, falling in love and loud smoky bars. After thousands of show's playing all over the lone star state and beyond, he has truly developed himself into a remarkable performer. Any fan will tell you, a Nick Lawrence show is filled with energy, passion and excitement.

Even though the heart and soul of this artist will always belong to his original songs and Americana based dancehall's and venues, he still has an extensive wide range of cover songs that he can perform. Nick has no problem showing off his talent on his own with simply his acoustic and voice or with his band even if it means covering other artist's material. Nick Lawrence has one goal, and that's to please and ensure every employer and music lover he encounters with respect, and skilled performing excellence. Whether it's a corporate event, city music festival, wedding, convention, dance hall, or a night club, this young talent has performed it and will continue to do so for years to come.
